Riley Bennett — Tattoo & Body Art Editor
“A great tattoo starts long before the needle. It starts with good information — and that’s exactly what I’m here to give you.”
Hi, I’m Riley — Prettovia’s tattoo-inspiration guide and unofficial “let me help you not regret this” friend. If you’ve been dreaming about a tattoo (your first, or your fifteenth), quietly building a secret Pinterest board of designs, and wondering how to actually turn that dream into reality — pull up a seat. This is my favorite conversation to have.
How I got here
I got my first tattoo at eighteen, and I’ve been fascinated by ink as an art form ever since. A few pieces later — okay, more than a few — I’d become the person all my friends texted before booking their own appointments. “Riley, is this design good? Where should I put it? How big should it be? What do I even say to the artist?” Those questions came in constantly, and I loved answering every single one.
Over time I realized that the moments before a tattoo — the dreaming, the planning, the deciding — are just as important as the tattoo itself. So much regret comes not from getting a tattoo, but from rushing into one without the right information. And so much confidence comes from walking into a studio knowing exactly what you want and why. Helping people find that confidence became my whole thing, and it’s what I bring to Prettovia every day.
What I cover
At Prettovia, I lead all of our tattoo content — and I want to be really clear about what that means. My beat is inspiration and information: trending styles like fine-line, minimalist, floral, and meaningful micro-tattoos; placement and sizing ideas; guidance on choosing a design you’ll love for years; how to prepare for your appointment; and the basics of aftercare so your ink heals beautifully.
One important thing
Prettovia is about tattoo inspiration and helping you work confidently with a licensed, professional artist. We’re never about doing tattoos yourself — that’s a job for trained professionals, full stop. My role is to help you show up to the studio informed, excited, and sure of your choice, and to help you build a great relationship with the artist who’ll bring your vision to life. Good info in, great tattoo out.
My promise to you
Thoughtful, honest, judgment-free guidance. I’ll never rush you, never talk down to you, and never pretend a big decision is a small one. Whether you’re 100% ready or just starting to daydream, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and excitement.
A few things to know about me: I’m based in Portland, OR. I’m a tattoo collector who genuinely loves the art form. My motto is “a good tattoo starts with good info.” And I believe the best tattoos are the ones you feel completely sure about before you ever sit in the chair.
